Red Alert newsletter issue 4 March 2010

Welcome to issue #4 of Red Alert, Red Force Recording's (mostly) monthly newsletter!  This month’s issue covers upcoming releases, new signings and the launch of our new website.  Scroll down to see what’s been going on at Red Force HQ!

Out Now!
Officially launching the label into the New Year is recent Red Force acquisition Harry Dyer with Red Light Green Light.  A playful progressive production that seems to have an almost iridescent quality about it, this cheerful track boasts warm plucks, bouncy percs and a bright, catchy theme that pained a smile across our faces at first listen.  Anjunabeats upperclassman Adam Nickey delivers on the remix, with a stomping uplifting number that’s of the sort of quality we have come to expect!  Harry also delivers his own remix under his Gravity guise, a driving and slightly harder production more along the lines of his usual expeditions.  You can grab mp3s from Audiojelly as soon as Wednesday, Feb 24.

Red Light Green Light is available to buy from the following online stores:

Supported by Above & Beyond on TATW 308 and 309.

Upcoming releases
Following suit we have one of the most-anticipated Red Force singles to date.  That’s right, Daniel Kandi's Everything Counts is finally getting released!  This feel-good anthem boasts a soaring pluck lead, lush pads and a catchy theme. Remixes come from the likes of Suncatcher and LavKastor, the former of which turns in a pumping, bright and well, sunny remix.  LavKastor’s effort is a deeper yet upbeat prog-trancer with warm plucks and a solid groove.  “Everything Counts” will be Red Force’s April outing with MP3s available as early as May 31 at Beatport.

New signings
We are proud to announce the annexation of three new releases from two exciting artists.  First up is Driving Force (also known as Lowell Gasparini) from Los Angeles, California.  His track Through The Years is a synth-soaked melodic number with a smashing theme and spacey lead.  As far as details go, we have already booked the ever-talented Sunny Lax and rising star Forerunners for remixes and the release date is set for later this spring.

For the other two releases, we welcome back long-term resident Avenger, who brings us Climax and The Path.  Both are superior melodic numbers which have received some attention already.  Climax, having already been hammered by Armin and licensed to Tranceworld 5, is set for a release by the start of the summer and will come with a chillout mix and a proper remix from Armada’s Bissen.  The Path will be released later this year.

Artist Spotlight

Harry Dyer AKA GravityBetter know an artist: Gravity aka Harry Dyer

Within this segment the goal is simple: to keep you informed on the talent within our roster, one artist at a time!  The third installment features new talent Harry Dyer.

Harry Dyer heralds from Cambridge (UK) and DJs and producers under his main moniker Gravity.  Harry has been working hard and pushing his way through the dance music scene since the age of 18.  Now, after 5 years of hard work, he has begun signing his tune to a number of successful trance and tech-trance labels.  Harry’s recent release Gravity 8 Stops (WA-X Records) reached number 9 in the top 100 trance tracks for October 09 on Trackitdown.net.  8 Stops was also a featured track on Beatport.com for several weeks and Will Atkinson from WA-X Records voted Gravity 8 Stops his track of the year for 2009.

Harry Dyer is also a keen promoter working with Gallery @ Ministry of Sound, London and championing his Future Friday Feeling brand every 2 months.  He can regularly be found playing in the Bar at Ministry on a Friday night.  Gravity is also resident DJ for award-winning club brand “BIG” in the East of England.  He features every year at BIG’s yearly festival Dance Island which attracts a massive crowd.

Gravity/Harry has played alongside some of the biggest DJs and producers in the game like Armin Van Buuren, Judge Jules, K90, JFK, Lisa Lashes, Jordan Suckly, Orkidea, Greg Downey, Tall Paul, Riley & Durrant, Lee Haslam... the list goes on!  Harry has also gained support from fans around the world with his radio show on U.K.-based station Rapture.fm.  His show has had many guests including K90 (Dataless Records) and Dave Horne (Anjunadeep).  2010 looks set to be a HUGE year for Gravity, so make sure you watch this space!!
